FRANCE: WW1 Combatants Cross, with genuine 
WW2 German NCO rank pip for shoulder boards 
and straps.
Most likely the medal was awarded to a German
member of the Foreign Legion.
The Cross is maker marked and hallmarked by 
the Paris Mint.
The Combatant’s Cross was instituted in 1930 
and was awarded for 90 days front line service, 
for a combat wound or for 90 days detention by 
the enemy.
