Military Order of St. George of Antioch – Commander’s Cross Set (Full, Miniature & Lapel Pin)

International Order: Original Commander’s Cross 
Set of the Military Order of St. George of Antioch. 
Set includes the neck decoration, matching 
miniature, and lapel pin (boutonniere), all housed 
in the original case of issue. 
A well-preserved example of a chivalric order with 
a distinctive insignia and international character.
No solid information is available regarding this 
Order. 
It appears that it has no connection to the 
Patriarchate of Antioch while in 1970 the 
Catholic Church stated that it has no relation 
with the Vatican either and categorized the 
Order among the "private initiatives". 
Early, Italian made example of superb quality.
