VATICAN: Silver Commemorative Medal of the 
2nd Ecumenical Council. 
Silver 800, hallmarked on the reverse. 
The medal was issued in 1965, during the Papacy 
of Pope Paul VI. 
With his Coat of Arms on the reverse side of the 
medal. 
The 2nd Ecumenical Council had been conducted 
in 4 periods between the years 1962 (Papacy of 
Pope John XXIII) - 1965 (Papacy of Pope Paul VI). 
Among the participants were, for the 1rst time, 23 
women. 
The medal is very rare due to the very limited 
number of the participants (2300).
