Medal, with Clasp Russia. 
A scarce clasp. 
Official type 2 (Laslo Classification), as issued to 
the American Northern Russia Expeditionary 
Force (the following Units of the 85th Division: 
339th Infantry Regiment, one battalion of the 
310th Engineers, the 337th Field Hospital and the 
337th Ambulance Company) .
The clasp Russia was awarded for any service in 
European Russia during the period Sep 14, 1918 - 
Aug. 15, 1919. Aprox. 9000 were issued.
The medal was designed by James Earl Fraser.
