Spain Commemorative Medal for the Peace of Morocco 1909 1927 with Star Citation

SPAIN: Medal for the Peace of Morocco (1909- 
1927). 
With star citation on the ribbon.
On the reverse: "Spain, always available for 
the deed of universal civilization, contributed 
to Morocco with the sacred blood of its sons
and the gold of its vaults. The triumph of its 
arms and the culture of  its methods are the 
foundation of this great accomplishment of 
humanity."
The medal was instituted in 1927 to be issued 
to the French and Spanish military,  who took
part in the joined campaign against the 
Republic of the Rif in the Northern Morocco.  
By 1926 the joined forces managed to defeat 
Abd el Krim (the leader of the Rif) while the 
unrest and the guerrilla warfare were also 
suppressed by 1927.
This medal was awarded to a French.
