Greece: Royal Hellenic Air Force Distinguished 
Services Medal - 1945.
The Medal was awarded to flying personnel of 
the Royal Hellenic Air Force (RHAF) for 12 months 
of meritorious war time service with combat units, 
or to ground personnel of the RHAF for 18 months 
of meritorious war time service with combat or 
technical units.
The Distinguished Services Medal was instituted 
in 1945 by King Paul I and it was issued initially 
for WW2. 
It was amended in 1953 in order to be awarded 
for the Greek Civil War and the Korean War as 
well.
The medal is scarce, given the small size of the 
RHAF.
