The Indian General Service Medal was instituted 
in 1909 to be issued to officers and men of the 
British and Indian Armies (since 1925 it 
was also awarded to the RAF) for various minor 
military campaigns in India from 1908 to 1935.
Th clasp "Waziristan 1921-24" was awarded to 
those who served in the province between 21 
Dec. 1921 and 31 Mar. 1924.
