Such crosses were issued by the 3 German 
Hanseatic Cities (Hamburg, Bremen and 
Lubeck).
The Hanseatic Crosses were established in 
1915 and were issued for war time merit. 
The Cross of Lubeck is by far the rarest of 
them.

- Oldenburg: WW1 Friedrich August's II Cross, 
2nd Class, 1914 -1918. 
This is the rare, early, iron made (magnetic) 
type of the medal.
