Featuring in the center, the image of a church,
built by the German Army at Ivoiry, over the
mass grave of 31 German soldiers who were
killed on 22 Sep. 1914.
With the motto: "Wir stehen so fest als die Eichen
und werden siegen" (We stand as firm as the oaks
and we will prevail).
Written on the reverse and feldpost (Field post)
postmarked by the 53rd Reserve Field Artillery
Battalion, VI Reserve Corps.
Dated 1915.
