Germany WWI Postcard Theater Play "Der Hias", Feldpost Leipzig 1917, Addressed to 52nd Royal Saxe Foot Artillery Battalion

Imperial Germany: Original WW1 postcard 
featuring a scene from the theater play "Der Hias", 
a charity performance organized by German 
soldiers to raise funds for wartime relief efforts 
(often for wounded soldiers, families of fallen 
men, or front-line comforts). 
Feldpost-marked from Leipzig in 1917, with a 
handwritten message to a Gunner (Kanonier) 
of the Königlich Sächsisches Fuss Artillerie 
Batailon 52 (52nd Royal Saxe Foot Artillery 
Battalion). His sweetheart Charlotte sends her 
best greetings and always remembers the good 
times they spent together.
