Imperial Germany: Original WW1 photo showing 
a group of decorated German NCOs - most of 
them are Sergeant Majors. 
Note the scarce Mecklenburg Strelitz Cross for 
War Distinction, 1st Class on the uniform of the 
NCO in boots.
All men are decorated with the Iron Cross 2nd 
Class and wear the respective ribbons on their 
chests.
The NCO who stands in front of the door wears 
the Iron Cross 1st Class.
