France: WW2 era Honor and Meritorious Service 
medal for firemen.
The medal was instituted in 1900, to be issued 
for long service and good conduct. 
It was also awarded for exceptional service or 
acts of courage. 
The issuance of the silver medal required 20 
years of service or an act of exceptional bravery. 
This is the 3rd version of the medal that was 
awarded since 1935. 
Signed by L. Bazor and hallmarked "1" by the 
Paris Mint for silver purity.
