FRANCE: Commemorative Medal of the U.N.C. 
(National Union of Combatants) for the 60th 
Anniversary of the Great War Victory.
Inscribed: "In Gratitude, To the Victors of the 
Great War, 60th Anniversary"
The Union was established in 1918 and was 
recognized by the French Government in 
1920. 
Membership is open to currently serving 
military personnel and to former 
combatants from all branches of the French 
Armed Forces, regardless of the conflict they 
participated in.
The medal is rare as it was only awarded to
the surviving at the time combatants, 
members of the Union -  in 1978 the youngest 
veteran had to be over 75 years of age.
