FRANCE: Silver Commemorative medal for the 
Morocco Campaign (1908) with "Maroc" clasp.
Hallmarked "1" for silver purity and signed by 
George Lemaire.
The medal was instituted in 1909 for participants 
in the French military operations in Morocco 
between 1907 and 1909.
The “Maroc” clasp denotes later qualifying 
service during the campaign leading to the 
establishment of the French Protectorate in 
Morocco.
