France WWI Commemorative Medal for the Civil Prisoners of War, Deportees and Hostages by Delannoy & the Paris Mint

FRANCE: Commemorative, WW1 medal for the 
deportees, the civilian prisoners,  the Prisoners 
of War (PoW) and the hostages from the 
German occupied parts of France. 
Signed by M. Delannoy and hallmarked for 
bronze by the Paris Mint.
The medal was established in  1936 and was 
awarded as a recognition of the sacrifices of 
the civilians who were held as PoWs, 
deportees and hostages during the Great War. 
Just 11.000 medals were issued.
