FINLAND: Order of the White Rose of Finland, 
Silver Medal of Merit with Gold Cross (1st Class).
Silver and gilt medal, maker marked, marked 
with the "Crown" (National mark of Finland), 
"830" (silver hallmark) and dated "F8" for 1983.
The Order of the White Rose of Finland was 
established in 1919 and it replaced the Order of 
the Cross of Liberty.
It could be awarded to both military and civilian 
recipients of either Finnish or foreign origin for 
outstanding acts.
