British Empire, Officer's Cross (OBE) ", Civil, 1st 
Type, on Ladies ribbon. 
Very early example, hallmarked for sterling silver, 
marked by the city of London, maker marked by 
Sebastian Garrand (SG) and dated (date mark) 
1918.
The Order was established in 1917 and in 1918 it 
was divided in 2 Divisions, Civil and Military. 
This form of the Cross was awarded until 1935, 
of course with different 
date marks.
