"Archduke Franz Salvator".
The 15th Cavarly Regiment was formed in 1701 
as a Dragoon Regiment. 
In 1873 it was renamed to 15th Hussar Regi-
ment. At the outbreak of WW1 the 15th Hussar 
Regiment was consisted of 91% Hungarians 
and it was stationed in the city of Gyongyos. 
In 1915 the Regiment was renamed to 15th 
Hussar Regiment "Archduke Franz Salvator".
This cap badge was issued to commemorate 
the occasion and it is scarce.
