USA: China Service Medal - USMC issue.
Marked G.GI (Graco Industries, Government Issue)
The medal was instituted in 1942 to recognize 
service in and around China before and after 
WW2.
It was awarded for services performed during 
operations in China or in Chinese territorial 
waters from 07 Jul. 1937 to 07 Sep. 1939 and 02 
Sep. 1945 to 01 Apr. 1957.
Designed by George Holburn Snowden the medal 
presents on the obverse a Chinese junk. 
The medal was awarded with the inscriptions US 
Navy or US Marine Corps to sailors and marines 
respectively.
