Serbia: Cross of Mercy, 1912.
The Cross was instituted by King Peter I Karadjeordjevic in 1913.
It was awarded for humanitarian service towards the sick and wounded
during the Balkan Wars of 1912-1913.
On the central medallion of the obverse side: "For Mercy" circumscribed
"For Services to the Wounded and the Sick 1912".
On the reverse side: The Serbian Royal Coat of Arms.
The Cross had been awarded to both Serbs and Foreign Citizens, to
military and civilians personnel as well as to the Red Cross volunteers.
