Kingdom of Romania: Centenary Medal of
 King Carol I, 1839 1939.
With "Pro Patria" (Latin: For the Homeland) 
clasp.
Obverse: An equestrian portrait of King 
Carol I.
Reverse: Circumscribed "100 Ani De La 
Nasterea Primului Rege Al Romaniei Slavitu 
Sa in Domnia Regelui Carol Al II Lea" (100 
Years Since the Birth of Romania’s 1st King. 
Celebrated During the Reign of Carol II).
The medal was instituted in 1939 and was 
awarded to selected military and civilians, to 
holders of the Order of Michael the Brave 
and the Medal of Military Virtue and to the 
staff of the Ministry of National Defense. 
The additional "Pro Patria" clasp was 
awarded for significant contribution to the 
Army Equipment Fund.170
