HUNGARY: Wound Badge for War Invalids. 
The letters "HR" on the obverse are the
acronym for the word "Hadirokkant" (War 
Invalid)
The badge was established in 1931 by the 
Admiral Horthy regime, to be awarded initially 
to those that suffered permanent disabilities 
during WW1 and the conflicts following the
dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire 
and the establishment of the Kingdom of 
Hungary.  
The badge was also awarded, later on, to War
Invalids of WW2.
There are 2 types of the badge - this is the 
rare  large one (28.5mm x 22mm).
