BELGIUM: Military Decoration for Loyal 
Service with Chevron, 1st class.
Awarded to Non Commissioned Officers 
(NCOs) and soldiers for 15 years of service. 
The Decoration was instituted in 1873. 
Note that the medal is identical to the 
Bravery Cross for NCOs as they were 
instituted by the same royal decree. 
The 2 medals differ only in the ribbon. 
This is the post WW2 (1952) example with 
the Lion rampant on the reverse.
