Belgium: Original Belgian Royal Household Medal 
for Delegations of Foreign Countries at the Royal 
Court, 3rd Class, issued during the reign of King 
Baudouin I (1953–1993). 
Established  in 1889, the Royal Household Medal 
evolved with each monarch. 
This type represents the official court award 
bestowed upon foreign delegations accredited to 
the Belgian Royal Court.
King Baudouin I established 3 different types of 
the Royal Household Medal in 1953 (for the 
Employees of the Royal Court, for the Foreign 
Delegations at the Royal Court  - both types in 
3 classes and the Special Medal in 2 Classes).
The Royal Household medal of Baudouin I 
remained in use until 1993.
