Austria Hungary Commemorative Medal for the Campaigns Prior to 1873, Marked TS, Type V, Ball Suspender in Bronze Gilt - RARE VARIATION

Austro-Hungarian Empire: Commemorative Medal 
for the Campaigns that were conducted prior to 
1873 (or War Medal 1873). 
Despite the initial intention the medal was later 
issued for the campaigns in Bosnia and 
Herzegovina (1878-1880 and 1882) & the China 
expedition (Boxer Rebellion) in 1900-1901.
Inscribed : "2 December 1873"
Kaiser Franz Joseph's reign. 
This a rare variant of the Type V of the medal, 
engraved by Anton Tautenhayn, marked TS 
beneath the imperial bust (TS:Tautenhayn 
Sculpsit - latin for Tautenhayn engraved). 
In addition, this rare type features narrow ball 
suspender and lacks the common separation 
ring between the bust and the inscription:
"FRANZ JOSEPH I. KAISER. V. OSTERREICH. 
KOENIG. V. BOHMEN. ETC.APOST.KOENIG V.
UNGARN."
